1. Arizona Science and Engineering Fair! (4/3/2012)
Science fair judges are needed for the Stockholm Junior Water Prize (SJWP), the world’s most prestigious youth award for a water-related science project. The competition is open to students in grades 9-12 with projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life through the improvement of water quality, water resource management, or water and wastewater treatment. At regional and state science fairs, judges will select 3 to 4 water-related projects to receive SJWP regional award certificates and encourage students to submit research papers to the Arizona state SJWP competition.

3. Biosphere 2 and City of Tucson Sweetwater Wetland/WWTP Tour (4/13/2012)
A rare opportunity for a private tour of the Biosphere 2 (http://www.b2science.org/) from 11 am to 1 pm and to the City of Tucson Sweetwater Wetland/wastewater treatment plant from 2-4 pm (http://cms3.tucsonaz.gov/water/sweetwater). RSVP is REQUIRED.

5. AZ Water YP Committee Block at the Annual Conference
The conference is right around the corner and the AZ Water YPs want you to join us for an informational presentation and committee meeting! The YP Presentation Block will focus on work/life balance and career development “Build your Career and Keep your Head on Straight.” Presenters will include: Karroll K. Alexander (Life coach and principle of The Alexander K. Group), Michael Sarnowski (Senior Account Executive at Aerotek), and Jim Pembroke (Vice President at HDR).
