The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies (AMWA), and the Water Information Sharing and Analysis Center (WaterISAC) are hosting a free one-day workshop on the nexus between water and energy during emergencies. The goal of this event is to help water and wastewater service providers and their counterparts in the power sector improve their resiliency during power out-ages.

Topics include:

·         Black sky planning and state and federal re-sources

·         Power resilience efforts at Arizona water utilities

·         Co-generation and micro-grids to increase power outage resilience

·         Regulations impacting back-up generators

·         Electric sector emergency planning and response

 

This workshop will be eligible for PDHs towards ADEQ Operator Certification.
