Are you consistently struggling to find water losses, or are you above the “lost and unaccounted” limits on your Annual Reporting to DWR? Would you like to learn more about how to use free water audit software to monitor and reduce your water losses across your system?

Reducing the amount of non-revenue water can have big financial and environmental impacts for utilities. Water audits, in combination with other strategies such as leak detection, and meter calibration and replacement programs, can be an important tool for a supplier looking to optimize their system operation, improve cash flow and achieve environmental benefits.

The American Water Works Association’s (AWWA) M36 Manual of Practice Water Audits and Loss Control Programs and associated free Excel-based water audit software provide utilities with guidance “in improving accountability and economically controlling water and revenue losses."
