Following up on the 11/26/2017 "Water Loss & Leak Detection for Utilities" webinar relating to a water systems ability to determine the magnitude of water loss in their system with the American Water Works Association’s (AWWA) M36 Manual of Practice Water Audits and Loss Control Programs, what are the next steps in establishing programs to alleviate these losses?

Reducing the amount of non-revenue water can have big financial and environmental impacts for utilities. Water audits, in combination with other strategies such as leak detection, and meter calibration and replacement programs, can be an important tool for a supplier looking to optimize their system operation, improve cash flow and achieve environmental benefits.

Once we know substantial water loss is present in a system there are some methods to determining the lost water through piping network leaks as well as the lost revenue through inefficient billings due to un-calibrated and old water meters, especially larger commercial meters.

This webinar will discuss strategies, methods and tools for determining the magnitude of water loss in a water distribution system and what are the next steps to be taken to establish programs to alleviate these losses. Please refer to the event flyer for details about the topics to be discussed.
