View Registrations Tell a Friend About This EventTell a Friend

Controlling water is a huge responsibility. Over the course of 100 years, Salt River Project has been responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient delivery of water. Horseshoe Dam has been providing water releases to the Phoenix area since 1945. At the Dam, a 1,500 CFS, 84-inch diameter cone valve and a 400 CFS, 48-inch knife gate valve were specially constructed to control the flow through the River Outlet Works. A custom cone valve comes with a variety of challenges.
