Presenter: Richard Lange, Water Resources Plant Manager

Learn more about the process of nuclear energy generation, specifically on the creative nature of water reuse utilization Palo Verde employs.  The Palo Verde Water Reclamation Facility (WRF), is a 90 MGD tertiary treatment plant that reclaims treated secondary effluent from the cities of Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Glendale and Tolleson.  See how the water gets to the plant, what treatment is needed and the processes for how that is accomplished and the recirculation efforts driving overall water use down for efficiency.  The tour will start at the education center to understand the overall nuclear generation process and the unique technologies Palo Verde utilizes to set itself apart as one of the most efficient plants in the world.  We will complete the tour with a lunch at the Tin Top restaurant located near the plant.
