This webinar will provide an overview of total nitrogen removal with biofilm processes.

Total nitrogen removal requires nitrification, the conversion of ammonia to nitrate, and denitrification, the conversion of nitrate to nitrogen gas.

Like nitrification, denitrification is enhanced with biofilm technologies.

The webinar will focus on two biofilm technologies used for total nitrogen removal at wastewater treatment facilities: 1) moving bed biofilm reactors (MBBR); and 2) submerged up-flow biofilters (SUB).

Applications of the two technologies will be described, including increasing the capacity of mechanical plants and meeting ultra-low effluent total nitrogen requirements.

One PDH will be awarded for attending this event.

Attendance is limited to the first 100 registrants. Please note that multiple users can share a single registration if the webinar is to be displayed on a large format screen at your site.
