Southern Arizona Technical Luncheon: Historical Perspectives and Challenges of Underground Storage
View Registrations Tell a Friend About This EventTell a Friend Events in Series

Underground Storage Facilities (USFs) are essential components of Arizona’s water security. Each USF operates under a permit issued by the Arizona Dept. of Water Resources (ADWR) that typically must be renewed every 20 years. As Arizona’s earliest USF permits are reaching their 20th year, DWR has recognized the challenges of renewing these USF permits and put forth changes to the USF permitting protocol to ensure these original permits to continue. A case study will be presented.
