Customer Service Professionals Group

The Customer Service Professionals Committee began in 2003 when customer service managers from Tempe, Mesa and Gilbert got together and decided that the valley cities would benefit from sharing information. Meetings were held 3-4 times a year for the purpose of sharing policies, ideas, training and networking for customer service and meter services staff. In July 2015, the AZ Water Association voted to formally include this committee under their umbrella. Our goal is to continue to add to our membership and extend outside the Phoenix area.

Vision

Our vision is to promote excellent customer service among municipal and private utility service entities in the state of Arizona.

Leslie Giltner wrote on the Special Interest: Customer Service Specialists wall: Hi Liz! It is good to hear from you. Although the shut down is over for now, in Gilbert we reviewed accounts on a case by case basis. We only had a few requests and gave customers extensions. Mesa had a form customers completed requesting an extension thru the end of the shutdown and they were required to submit a copy of their federal ID. Leslie

Elizabeth Adams wrote on the Special Interest: Customer Service Specialists wall: Hello! We are starting to receive requests from Federal employees to forgive or defer their utility charges during the government shut down. Does anyone have a process in place to offer assistance to customers in this unique position? If so, is it documented and would you be willing to share? Thanks in advance!
