Our Members

Our Members include civil, design and environmental engineers; biologists, chemists, local and state government officials, treatment plant managers and operators, laboratory technicians, students, professors, lawyers, environmental scientists, equipment manufacturers and distributors.

Today the Association has over 2,500 members representing diverse backgrounds and specialties, but all are concerned and involved with protecting and enhancing our precious water resources.

We Represent Water and Wastewater Professionals in Arizona

The AZ Water Association is a not-for-profit technical and educational organization representing water and wastewater professionals dedicated to preserving and enhancing Arizona's water environment.

The AZ Water Association is the Arizona Section of the American Water Work Association (AWWA). The AWWA is the largest nonprofit, scientific and educational association dedicated to managing and treating water, the world’s most important resource.

The AZ Water Association is the Arizona member association of the Water Environmental Federation (WEF). The WEF is a not-for-profit technical and educational organization whose mission is to connect water professionals; enrich the expertise of water professionals; increase the awareness of the impact and value of water; and provide a platform for water sector innovation.

Annual Conference

The AZ Water Association holds an annual conference that includes keynote addresses by leaders and professionals within the water and wastewater business sector, expert discussion panels, a job fair, the presentation of technical papers, operator training courses, manufacturer’s exhibits and networking events such as a golf tournament and barbeque dinner.

The conference occurs over a 3 day period and is geared towards professional development and training, networking and providing career opportunities for our membership.

  • The AZ Water Newsletter - A quarterly newsletter designed to keep our members informed of current events and development.

Education and Professional Development Opportunities

The AZ Water Association provides over 100 technical and educational events annually; specialty conference, workshops and trainings, teleconferences, luncheon programs, Annual AZ Water Conference, and our ever popular Tri-State Operator Training Seminar.

Networking Opportunities

AZ Water Association activities allow members to establish contacts within their communities, and ask for counsel and advice on work situations in the water and waste water fields. Attending Association functions can provide members with career opportunities.
